ABOUT COGENTUM
I count myself fortunate. I started my career over 30 years ago and it has been a tremendous journey, I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I have had the opportunity to work with very sizeable, global organizations and I have been the first person through the door in start-ups. I have had the daunting challenge of 400,000 colleagues and the equally daunting challenge of having just one colleague. I have started companies, I have helped fund companies and I have sold companies.
From a ‘sector’ perspective, I have also been fortunate, having worked across a fascinating range of vertical sectors, including automotive; financial services; travel and hospitality; technology; telecoms; trade; property; consulting; advertising and retail. During this time I have held some fairly senior roles and I have packed boxes in a warehouse.
My work has also included significant travel, both working and living in Europe, South Africa and the US. I have ventured far and wide during this time, experiencing all manner of cultures and business practices. I have met, collaborated with and learned from many talented people. None more so than the team here at Cogentum.
So, whilst I remain active in a couple of organisations, I could not resist the opportunity to go back to Consulting, not only because it was where I had success early in my career, but because this gives me the opportunity to work with talented and ambitious people as well as satisfy my passion for people and businesses, specifically wanting to make people and businesses the best they can be.
